Reportedly, Annie Kasprzak vanished without a trace on March 10, 2012, but no one knows what happened to her.
Because they were unable to locate her in any location, her adoptive parents eventually made a report to the authorities in Utah stating that she was missing.
The body of Annie, who had suffered fatal injuries, was discovered the following day by officials in Utah. Annie had many injuries consistent with blunt force trauma, including a broken skull, as stated in the autopsy report. This indicates that she was brutally beaten to death before her body was found.
On March 11, 2012, a jogger spotted small traces of blood and one red shoe on a bridge that crosses the Jordan River in Utah. The bridge was located in Salt Lake County.
After that, the authorities engaged in a thorough search of the area around the Jordan River, and eventually, the unidentified remains of Annie’s body were found further downstream in the Jordan river.
The authorities were eventually able to determine that the person responsible for Annie Kasprzak’s death was her boyfriend at the time, Darwin Christopher Bagshaw. In the year 2012, Darwin was just 14 years old, while Annie was 15 years old.
It was rumored that he had been romantically involved with Annie for almost a year and a half at the time the article was made. After Annie had informed him and several other people that she was pregnant with his kid, the two got into a fight with each other. But as time went on, it became clear that this was not accurate.
Unfortunately, Darwin, having come to the conclusion that the rumor of the pregnancy was accurate, allegedly killed Annie in order to conceal the pregnancy. In February 2016, according to The Cinemaholic, Bagshaw entered a guilty plea to the charge of first-degree criminal murder for the death of Annie.
Due to the severe nature of the act, Darwin, who was only 18 years old at the time, was given a sentence that ranged from 15 years to life in prison.
The Central Utah Correctional Facility in Gunnison, which is located in Sanpete County, is the location where he is serving out the remainder of his term.
