Who are Ben Kingsley Parents? Ben Kingsley is a British actor of English and Indian descent known for his wide range of roles.
He was born Krishna Pandit Bhanji on December 31, 1943, in Snainton, North Riding of Yorkshire, England.
Kingsley first began acting in amateur theatrical productions in Manchester, England and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1967.

Following his performance as Gandhi, Kingsley went on to star in such movies as Betrayal (1983), Turtle Diary (1985), and Pascali’s Island (1988).
He received an Oscar nomination for his part in the latter movie for best actor.
In addition, Kingsley acted in the movies Bugsy (1991), Schindler’s List (1993), and Sexy Beast (2000), for which he received a second Oscar nomination for best actor.

His mother was an actress from England. Kingsley was not reared in his father’s faith and considers himself a Quaker, even though his father was an Isma’ili Muslim Gujarati Khoja.
Rahimtulla Harji Bhanji, the father of Ben Kingsley, was an Indian doctor of Gujarati ancestry who was born in Kenya. He was a prosperous spice trader who relocated from India to the Sultanate of Zanzibar.
Anna Lyna Mary (Goodman) Bhanji, Kingsley’s mother, was an English fashion model and actress who appeared in movies in the 1920s and 1930s.
The family believed that Kingsley’s maternal grandpa was of Russian or German Jewish ancestry, while his maternal grandmother was English and employed in East London’s garment area.
