He has three brothers and sisters, Jake, Adam, and Christopher Harrison, but none work at the pawn business. Harrison worked as an electrician and a construction worker before becoming a part owner of the pawn store. 

Harrison oversees the store’s 30 employees and is the shop’s highest purchaser and seller, demonstrating his value to the company.

Corey was raised in the family business and began working at the pawn store when he was nine. He moved through the ranks and eventually became the store’s manager, overseeing a team of 30 people.

As the store grew in popularity, Harrison joined the family business full-time and was offered a 5% interest in the company. 

With the firm over 30 years old, it only seems natural that they continue to do what brought them to the dance, with most of the products purchased and sold being jewelry, antiques, and intriguing one-of-a-kind items. 

The business initially piqued the interest of television makers, and it was featured in a PBS documentary in 2001 and HBO’s Insomniac With Dave Attell in 2003. The family then spent four years proposing a show centered on the shop before the History Channel decided to take a chance on it.
