Kayla chose a home birth after giving birth to Andronikas in January 2021, during Covid-19 restrictions.

‘It’s you, my wife Kayla, who has given me this privilege of being a happy and joyous parent – you have proven yet again that you are uniquely meant for me,’ Bundee wrote on Instagram. ‘I adore you.’

Kayla didn’t want to be in hospital without him owing to COVID-19 limitations at the time, so the New Zealand-born center and his wife decided to have their child at home.

She believed their Galway property in Oranmore was ideal. ‘After researching it, I discovered that there was an alternative of being comfortable at home, calm, and safe,’ she told the Connacht Tribune.
