When Danny Masterson was initially accused of sexual assault in 2017, the news was all over it. He was accused of raping three women in June 2020 and has since entered a not-guilty plea.

In March 2017, four women alleged that the former cast member of That ’70s Show had sexually assaulted them in the early 2000s. In December 2017, a fifth woman came forward, alleging that the actor had “repeatedly raped” her while dating.
Masterson has been a member of the Scientology church since he was a young boy, and three of the five alleged victims are Scientologists. The star had previous relationships with the other accusers, Chrissie Carnell Bixler and Bobette Riales.
Since the allegations first surfaced, the Men at Work alum has maintained his innocence. In a statement to Us Weekly in December 2017, he said, “From day one, I have denied the outrageous allegations against me. These allegations were looked into by law enforcement more than 15 years ago, and they were found to be unfounded.
Four of Masterson’s accusers of sexual assault filed a civil lawsuit against him while the Los Angeles Police Department continued to look into his criminal case.
After the women came forward against Masterson in August 2019, they alleged that the Church of Scientology and its founder, David Miscavige, stalked them, invaded their privacy, and planned to obstruct justice.
