Dungy mentored Tomlin, who is employed at Pittsburgh’s Allegheny Center Alliance Church. Before Dungy’s transfer to Indianapolis, he worked with Tampa Bay as the defensive backs coach.

The older Tomlin died in January 2012 at 63 after an apparent heart attack in Ocala, Florida.

Tomlin earned his high school diploma from Newport News, Virginia’s Denbigh High School 1990.

Tomlin met his wife while they were both students at William and Mary. They have three kids. Tomlin lives in Squirrel Hill with his family, attends a Christian and Missionary Alliance church, and is a Christian.
