After dropping the drug charges, Pauline Njoroge faces a different accusation. She is set to be prosecuted for the publication of false information, which falls under Section 22 (1) (b) (d) of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act no. 5 of 2018.

Specifically, she is accused of posting on her verified Twitter account on July 22, 2023, which was calculated to cause panic and chaos among citizens of the Republic of Kenya.

The charge sheet states that the post contained false information about a massacre in Nyanza and crimes against humanity in the Nyalenda area, intending to cause public distress and unease.
