Sukhdool Singh, a Khalistani terrorist, was slain in inter-gang fighting in Canada by unknown gunmen. He was allegedly murdered in Winnipeg.
He was wanted in India under the alias Sukha Duneke. He was number 33 on the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) most-wanted list. The NIA had contacted the Canadian authorities to inquire about his benami holdings there.
He was from the Punjab district of Moga and escaped India in 2017 using false credentials. He was associated with the Davinder Bambiha gang, which is active in Moga and the surrounding areas.

Sukhdool Singh, an A-category criminal from Moga in Punjab, had already fled to Canada. Arshdeep Singh, also known as Arsh Dala, a Khalistani adherent, was related to him.
In 2017, Sukhdool Singh, also known as Sukha Dunuke, obtained. Despite having 18 criminal offenses lodged against him in Punjab, he used a counterfeit passport and police clearance certificate to travel to Canada.
Following the assassination of another Khalistani terrorist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, in Surrey, British Columbia, Sukhdool Singh’s death came amid growing diplomatic tensions between India and Canada. In June, Nijjar, who was wanted in India, was tragically shot outside a gurdwara.
Sukhdool Singh Family And Nationality Explored
According to media sources, Duneke belonged to Punjab’s Moga and was a member of the Davinder Bambiha gang. In 2017, he traveled to Canada with a falsified passport.
He supported and armed the Bambiha gang throughout Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan. More than 20 murder and other heinous crime cases were filed against him in Punjab and neighboring regions.

He was also said to be a supporter of pro-Khalistan groups. According to a News18 story, he usually called for extortion and committed supari killings.
Duneke was on the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) most-wanted list as number 33. According to a source, the NIA contacted the Canadian government to inquire about his benami properties there.
According to the NIA, Singh was associated with Arshdeep Dalla, a Canadian-based mobster who competed with Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi.
On March 14, 2022, Singh allegedly conspired with his colleagues to murder kabaddi player Sandeep Singh Nangal at a competition in a Malian village in Jalandhar.
According to the News18 story, elite intelligence sources believe these deaths result from inter-gang competition. The report states that these groups want to own the Khalistani movement for the sake of money.
Duneke’s murder comes just months after another Khalistani separatist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, was assassinated in Surrey.
This event has strained relations between India and Canada after the Trudeau government accused India of participation in the death without providing evidence.
